The electricity that is available to you at home is called three-phase current. This usually consists of 3 phases. Two factors determine whether you can charge your electric vehicle with 1-, 2- or 3-phase current.\u00a0<\/p>

  2. Which on-board charger is installed in your car?<\/li><\/ol>

    Schuko sockets - these are the normal household sockets - can draw a maximum of 16A via short phases and 13A in the long term. CEE sockets - also known as heavy current sockets - use all three phases of the three-phase network. Depending on the socket, the charging current is therefore passed on to your vehicle via 1 or 3 phases. Ultimately, however, the on-board charger decides how many phases it wants to use for charging.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    Mode 2 means charging an electric car at a standard household socket (e.g. Schuko) or three-phase socket (e.g. CEE red). A control box (ICCB) is used to monitor the charging process and communicate between the electric car and the charging connection.     With the PANTABOX, three-phase charging with up to 11 kW (16 A, 3-phase) is possible. This allows you to charge your electric vehicle conveniently overnight or at work. Although there are also wallboxes that charge with up to 22 kW, most on-board chargers in vehicles only support AC charging up to 11 kW.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    To protect your PANTABOX from misuse by strangers, you need the app. Simply activate the authentication feature here and you can ensure that only those who are allowed to charge can do so. NFC tags or an app user account can be used for authorization.     Select one of the mains adapters supplied to match your power connection. Remove the protective cover. Plug the adapter into the PANTABOX handset by matching the line and dot markings on both parts. The INRO logo points towards you. Now simply push the adapter in this position onto the connector of the PANTABOX handset. Now turn the locking ring of the adapter plug clockwise. You will hear a \u201cclick\u201d, indicating that the adapter has been successfully connected to the PANTABOX handset.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    Never disconnect the adapter while the handset is still connected to the mains - so always unplug it from the socket first! Then turn the locking ring of the adapter anti-clockwise until the connection is released. Now you can remove the adapter from the PANTABOX handset.     Charging with the PANTABOX at household sockets is safe throughout Europe. The adapters have active temperature monitoring for protection. If it gets too hot at the socket, the PANTABOX automatically reduces the charging power. If the situation does not improve afterwards, the charging process is automatically terminated. The app also offers the option of conveniently adjusting adapter-specific current limits - as they exist in some countries.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
